In the first decade of the 21st century, the world has been facing unprecedented political, economic, social, cultural and environmental challenges. The rapidly developing information and communication technologies have played a significant role in dealing with those challenges. In the era of globalized communication, it is communication scholars’ responsibility to promote a wider and deeper dialogue and understanding among diverse cultures and contribute to global peace and sustainable development.
As the association focused on China, ACPS seeks paper proposals that
link China with the central themes of the 2010 APSA convention and
examine the domestic and international dimensions of how China might
have been implicated in the great recession and how it has coped with
it. There are no restrictions with respect to theoretical or
methodological perspectives but scholars are encouraged to examine the
relevant issues, for example, the extension of retirement benefits for
