The 18th Chinese Communist Party Congress scheduled around October 2012 is expected to finalize the ongoing leadership transition and a new growth model that had been debated upon was announced at the National People’s Congress meeting in March 2011. Our panel hopes to address some important questions about these two related major events that would affect China’s future political and economic development and the global political economy.
