Cross-Disciplinary Approaches to Contemporary Politics
This roundtable undertakes a cross-disciplinary assessment of the domestic-global nexus of Chinese politics since 2012. It assesses the multi-directional dynamic of the transformation of the global system and the re-stirring of the PRC’s political economy (in connection with the 13th and the 14th Five-Year Plan) and looks at the strategic positioning of China in its changing regional and global environment. All papers follow a mixed-methods, cross-disciplinary approach and seek to shed light on the hidden drivers of Chinese politics-often overlooked by mono-disciplinary approaches.
